Oktoberfest is one of the most loved celebrations in Germany and all over the world. This is the festival of food and drinks, good mood and singing; it is a great place for tourists to visit and for locals to have fun.
The Oktoberfest breweries and landlords grand entry
This procedure is the official preliminary act before the opening of the Oktoberfest. Nearly thousand of people take part in this prelude. These are the families and friends of the landlords, music bands, all moving along the streets on big decorated floats.
The procedure starts on September 25 and lasts nearly 45 minutes.
Oktoberfest Costume and Riflemen’s Parade
It is a well-known procession that includes people and animals, all decorated and dressed up in costumes, singing, waving, performing, playing all way long. It lasts nearly 2 hours, involves over 9 thousand people and its route is 7 km long. This procession is carried out on the first Sunday of the German Oktoberfest and is a tremendous insight into the history, culture of its regions, highlighting not only the gastronomic traditions of various German provinces, but paying attention to the cultural and regional differences between their inhabitants. This parade is a tremendous view that everyone should see at least once in a lifetime!

Open-Air Oktoberfest Music
Over 400 music performers make a huge live open air concert on the steps of the Bavaria statue. It takes place on the second Sunday of the German Oktoberfest.
